Main Objectives

Kokam is recognized globally not only as a leading manufacturer of premium batteries, but also as a provider of advanced battery solutions. Kokam is looking for a highly motivated individual to provide the highest performance and most reliable battery cells available on the market. The Battery Cell Engineer is responsible for design of next generation lithium-ion batteries. This work will focus on cutting-edge battery technology with the goal of improving safety, increasing energy density, and maximizing power for advanced battery applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Desired Qualifications

1.       BS/MS in Chemistry, Materials Science or evidence of experience in related fields

2.       4+ practical experience directly related to the development and application of Li-ion battery cell

3.       Advanced understanding of battery cell materials and chemistries

4.       Good understanding of relevant test protocols used to access battery cell performance

5.       Good understanding of potential failure mechanisms in battery cells

6.       Experience in statistical analysis, AutoCAD and CFD is preferred.

7.       General knowledge of lithium-ion processes
